http://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/gcc.html has this differently, by the way.
However, as some of you may have noticed, while updating the web pages,
I have changed occurrences of "egcs" to "GCC" and changed some of the
new usages of "gcc" to "GCC" as well.
I plan to use "GCC" (and only that) when referring to the project as a
whole (and only then), while gcc, g++, g77, etc. refer to the individual
frontends.
