Subject: cvs backup site now up
I have a cvs backup site for egcs now up. Just try:
cvs -d ':pserver:anoncvs@mrs.kithrup.com:/cvs/egcs' co egcs
should you have problems getting to the normal server. This is a
readonly server, and will lag the main server by some unspecified
amount of time. My intent is to have it up-to-date on a nightly
basis, but we need just a little more software to make that happen
efficiently. I tried it out and I can suck down at about 137
Kbytes/sec, so it should be reasonable if the main server disappears
and lots of people load it, however, I ask that people not use this as
a normal mirror site, but instead, only in the case of failure of the
normal egcs site, or loss of networking to that site. Right now, it
has a copy of the master egcs site from 13:30 PDT today.
Thanks,
Mike Stump
