egcs miscompiles glibc 2.1.1?

Hi,
Has anyone tried to use -O2 or -O3 to compile glibc 2.1.1? Both
seem to miscompile glibc 2.1.1. rpcgen dumps core in sunrpc. -O
seems ok. I tried egcs 1.1.2 and gcc 2.95 19990525. I got the
same results.
