Question about Building EGCS

Hello everybody,
I have just finish the built of the latest
version (cvs) of egcs.
My question is that, when you proceed
to the installation : make install
How can you install all the files into another
directory than the current cygwin/egcs built ?
It is simply to keep a binary archive of the built
've just done ?
What parameter I must modify
in what file ?
configure.in ?
install-sh ?
