You should read instructions from glibc-2.1 source archive. However be prepared to met more incompatibilities as mentioened there: I rebuild egcs, ncurses, X11 (I met incompatibilities when tried to use X11 static libraries from glibc2 binary archives), Qt, KDE-1.1 and many many other things. Now I have working system (however I haven't rebuilt all) Andris
