libg++ addon

I built egcs before I realized I needed libg++ (I relied heavily on Map).
The libg++ README is somewhat ambiguous, but it looks like you're just
supposed to copy the libg++ and librx directories to the top level of
the egcs source tree, then configure and build, and the libg++ library
will be included.
Is there a way to build and install the libg++ addon "manually", without
having to rebuild the entire source tree?
