Several solutions:
(1) You already have GNAT installed from ACT-supplied binary distribution
(2) You use a cross-compiler
The core Ada95 compiler, which is the only thing needed to bootstrap itself,
is virtually portable on all architectures where GCC is ported with zero
work. The compiler contains very few system-dependent units (zero I think
on platforms other than VMS).
