FYI,
The build on my Digital UNIX 4.0D patch kit #2 Digital AlphaServer 2100A EV5
system was successfull. config.guess output follows...
alphaev5-dec-osf4.0d
One note: I run the build on both alphaev56-dec-osf4.0d and alphaev5-dec-osf4.0d
so I build it on the alphaev5-dec-osf4.0d system and run on both. Even if
I set --srcdir during the Configure phase the actually directory is used.
I want it to use a path that is the same on both systems. To be more
specific, the NFS server has /usr/local/src/egcs_1.1.1 and the NFS client
uses /nfs/osf1/local/src/egcs_1.1.1. When running configure on the NFS
client I used --srcdir=/usr/local/src/egcs_1.1.1. Unfortunately, Makefile
still used /nfs/osf1/local/src/egcs_1.1.1 for gcc_version_trigger and
for CONFIG_ARGUMENTS as well as other files. Thank you.
