Some explanations:
egcs cannot generate correct shared libs of Qt (Troll Tech GUI-library) on 64
bit systems, every program core dumps right on the beginning. Static libs are
said to work ok.

Yes, Qt-1.33 is fine. Qt-1.40 is not !

I am talking on egcs-1.0.3a (which is only documentation-wise different to
1.0.3, IIRC) and on egcs-1.1pre cvs sources (last week).
