Right. The runtime library used to be a subdir of the fortran front
end.

Right. It's somewhat dated.

Nope. If we remove it from the repository we'd be unable to do things
like check out the source for an older snapshot if we needed to do so.
Or spin another egcs-1.0.x release if the need arised.
Yes, the docs need updating. That's a pretty general program throughout
the compiler.
