new dejagnu on OpenServer looks good!

For the first time ever, from the top level build area, I could
execute 

  nice make -k check RUNTESTFLAGS="--target_board unix{-mcoff,-melf} --outdir
	${OUTDIR}"

and it just worked!

My test results look something like this (forgive the COFF and ELF
results being smooshed together - this is lameness in the first attempt
at a script I that processes these logs)
