So, if you picked up egcs-1.0.tar.gz, you got everything. You wouldn't need
any of the other pieces.
If you wanted just the core & C++ compiler you would pick up
egcs-core-1.0.tar.gz & egcs-g++-1.0.tar.gz
Unpack them in the same directory.
