Reverted for the moment. They bootstrapped and tested cleanly on
x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, but x86 has looser alignment requirements than most
targets nowadays.

PPC also has very loose alignment requirements also.
I hear that it also broke the bootstrap on i686-pc-linux-gnu the same way
so I really doubt that this has anything to deal with alignment issues at all.


Could you check that the gimplify_modify_expr_rhs/CALL_EXPR change
bootstraps cleanly on darwin?

I can check later today.
