It is not, it also happens on hppa2.0w-hp-hpux11.11:

and I also got the same error on powerpc-apple-darwin6.4
with the same in the config.log.

to complain about multiple symbol definitions in libstdc++ but
now it says:

IIRC that *could* be a binutils problem.  (I had a bug with that
symptom.)
