Works for me too.
Used this compiler to test:
$ ~/build/gcc33small/gcc/xgcc.exe -B ~/build/gcc33small/gcc/ -v
Reading specs from /home/lobell/build/gcc33small/gcc/specs
Configured with: /home/lobell/src/gcc3.3/gcc/configure --disable-nls
