I can see that a similar patch to the one you proposed has
been applied some two weeks after your report. The ChangeLog
entry is this one:
revision 1.199
date: 2001/09/10 10:10:16; author: rsandifo; state: Exp; lines: +4 -2
* calls.c (store_one_arg): Make sure that the entire argument is
pushed if STACK_PARMS_IN_REG_PARM_AREA is defined.
Can you verify whether this fixes your problem with gcc3.2?
