 Hi,
 
 the bug affects all versions of gcc from 3.0 till now.
 The code compiles fine on 2.95.x, however (checked on
 i686-pc-linux-gnu and mips-sgi-irix6.5).
 Thus, it is a regression and should be marked high priority.
