The following reply was made to PR c/1536; it has been noted by GNATS.

From: neil@gcc.gnu.org
To: eyal@eyal.emu.id.au, gcc-gnats@gcc.gnu.org, nobody@gcc.gnu.org
Cc:
Subject: Re: c/1536
Date: 4 Mar 2001 11:05:27 -0000

 Synopsis: -L and -I with bad paths do not raise a warning

 State-Changed-From-To: open->analyzed
 State-Changed-By: neil
 State-Changed-When: Sun Mar  4 03:05:27 2001
 State-Changed-Why:
     Confirmed, but I'm not sure such a change is desirable.
     The preprocessor warns you of missing directories with
     the -v option (amongst other things). It is commented
     in the code that silence is deliberate, so I doubt
     this will be changed.
