Since you are not a C programmer, I do not recommend that
you compiler major system components like glibc and gcc.
You should try to get these packages precompiled from
your Linux distributor, ie. Corel.
There is nothing in your bug report to indicate a problem
with gcc. We have successful reports of bootstrapping
gcc 3.0.2 with gcc 2.95.2, so it looks like your system
is misconfigured.
Consult your Linux distributor for prepackaged binaries
and support.
