gcc version 2.7-97r1a
NT 4.0
Target: Hitachi H8S/2357F
>Description:
I get the following output from ld:

D:\CYGNUS\PRINTB~1\pb01>ld -Map pb01.map -Tlinkf.cmd -o pb01.mot -lc -lgcc
ebeam.o(.text+0xad):ebeam.c: relocation truncated to fit: DISP8 L5+ffffffff

No errors are reported from the compilation. I don't get the error if I compile with -mint32, but I am actually trying to track down why a bunch of the math is not working properly.

What does the "relocation truncated to fit" really mean?
