This alignment is too strong (assuming lhs is a vector type).  lxvd2x and lxvw4x only
require word alignment, so

	tree align_ltype = build_aligned_type (lhs_type, 4);

seems like what you need.  See my earlier discussion with Richard.  Sorry I didn't
notice this before!
