[trans-mem] merge with mainline

Merged to 148984.
Now that generic versioning is fixed, 90% of the regressions are gone.
Most of the actual TM tests still fail though, so there's no doubt still
something wrong with that part of the original merge.
I did, however, want to re-merge with mainline to pull in Richard
Guenther's aliasing info for builtins, as I'd had something similar
(though significantly more hackish) on the branch already. Now I'll be
able to strip my code out and work with his.
