Thanks for the update, Tom! I've been basically offline the last few
weeks, or I would have looked into this (and the original patch) earlier.
We might want to give you commit access to avoid such delays, please

Good question. Ideally we'd ask the submitted about such a discrepancy
and possibly adjust documentation or our scripts to help avoid them?
