gmp and mpfr can be dropped in the gcc source directory. i think you should be able to do the same for cloog and ppl (actually i think if we don't ship them, we should have a script in svn to download them and place them in-tree).


I think I'm better not proposing this build-in-gcc functionality, and
just ask people to have ppl and cloog installed on the machine before
starting configuring and building GCC

I don't think this is a valid option until most distributions have packages for them.
