Re: [tuples] Regenerate toplevel configure

Zadeck, I noticed that the lto branch is also using autoconf 2.61
since 133528. It is a merge from mainline that you did. OK for me to
regenerate with 2.59?

i just use what is on my machine. i am not an autoconf expert so i really do not know what would be the downside. However, I do not believe that anyone has done anything that is anyway version specific.

In short, if it works, it is fine, if it doesn't then you need to upgrade.

Hi all,

I'd like to commit the following patch to the tuples branch:

2008-05-19 Andreas Tobler <a.tobler@schweiz.org>

* configure: Regenerate with the correct autoconf version 2.59.

Is this the correct ChangeLog file?

Rafael, the current used version of autotools is:

- autconf 2.59
- automake 1.9.6
Not sure if I can approve it, but I am ok with the patch.

Using another version can cause very scary results in different areas.
In my case I was not able to run the test_summary script properly.
You can see the results on the test results ML. There you miss the configure
bits in the tuples results.
I do have a vanilla 2.59 and have used it on other patches.
Unfortunately I used the system one for the last commit. Thanks for
catching it.

I'd like to commit this patch after I completed my test and submitted them.

Ok?
I think so :-)

Thanks,
Andreas

Thanks,
