Still working on the patch, I don't know yet how many of these I can get
rid of.  Certainly some of the older shadow functions will be harder than
the more recent stuff in the 19 large patches.

I've had some outages since Monday that made getting baseline and patch
testing harder.  But I'm making progress with an 8/30 snapshot as my last
baseline.

Not really, the shadow functions get harder to remove as they get used
more often.  I've been in a moratorium on doing any constification (not
just ones using shadow functions, but all new patches) since this came up.

Unless someone else suddenly gets an itch to take up the banner I doubt
it'll get harder.  Don't worry I'll have something ready soon and then
it's just a matter of regtesting.
