This regtests ok (except for whitespace differences, which may
have been caused by pasting the patch) on i686-pc-linux-gnu.
OK with an appropriate test case and ChangeLog entry.

P.S: I will be switching DSL providers tomorrow. Depending on
how things work, this may cause some problems. I will probably
