- Subject: [4.1 PATCH] Backport the don't copy DECL_UID patch to 4.1 branch (PR c++/28677)
- Reply-to: Jakub Jelinek <jakub at redhat dot com>
Hi!
PR c++/28677 (4.0/4.1 regression) have been fixed on mainline by the
PR middle-end/27793 patch. I have been using the following 4.1 backport
of that patch in our GCC for 2 months now, including full distribution
rebuild and we haven't noticed any problems with it, on
redhat/gcc-4_1-branch it has been bootstrapped/regtested numerous times on
various linux arches.
I have bootstrapped/regtested this now on vanilla 4.1 branch on ppc-linux,
ok for 4.1?

* tree-dfa.c (add_referenced_var): Assert DECL_UID is unique for
different decls.

PR c++/28677
PR middle-end/27793
* cp-tree.h (cxx_int_tree_map): New struct.
(struct language_function): Add extern_decl_map field.
* name-lookup.c (pushdecl_maybe_friend): Add x -> t mapping
to cp_function_chain->extern_decl_map hash table instead of
copying over DECL_UID.
* cp-gimplify.c (cxx_int_tree_map_eq, cxx_int_tree_map_hash): New
functions.
(cp_genericize_r): Remap DECL_EXTERN local decls using
cp_function_chain->extern_decl_map hash table.
* decl.c (finish_function): Clear extern_decl_map.
