I agree that the FSF need not pay attention to non-FSF releases, but in
this case there's no harm, and there's no reason for the FSF to make
life hard for distributors. In fact, if FSF users have installed
pre-release versions of 4.2, they will now have incompatible libgomp
after this change, so bumping the version number will help them.
