I can't seem to get your new mmx-7.c testcase to fail with a mainline
GCC? Perhaps this has been fixed by one of the recent reload vs. x86
vector patches. The reason I was interested was to see if I could
construct a similar HImode failure using shorts, that would indicate
that your solution may not have been generic enough.
Is this code still failing for you? I've tried on both x86_64 and
i686 without being able to reproduce a reload failure.
