Subject: [4.1 PATCH] Backports to fix PR tree-optimization/27283, tree-optimization/27549, tree-optimization/27548

Hi!

PR tree-optimization/27549 was fixed on the trunk with PR27283 fix.
Attached is a backport of that patch (plus new testcase).  But,
with that fix in PR27548 which was approved today for mainline
fails on the branch as well, so I'm also including a backport of that
patch.
Both patches were bootstrapped/regtested on
{i386,x86_64,ppc,ppc64,s390,s390x,ia64}-linux.

Ok for branch?
Is the new testcase also ok for trunk?
