Yes. But I don't think we can assume that everybody who might want to talk to
or about a contributor knows about all the transliteration systems for all the
writing systems of all contributors.

It's not part of the Swiss alphabet, and hasn't been in quite some time.
Everybody else still uses it, but much less often than before. Nevertheless,
proper names are not subject to spelling rules, Gauß will remain Gauß as long
as we use that letter. BTW, Duden is Duden, without an umlaut. This kind of
mistake reminds me of the nobel priye laureate Weinberg who mistakenly wrote
Döppler in his otherwise excellent textbook on general relativity. Don't
overdo it! :-)
