I think there was.  We agreed that making GCC compile with a C++
compiler was not a major goal, but that we wouldn't stand in the way of
it.

However, if you want to reopen the debate, that's your privilege; just
do it politely, and see if you find other allies that agree with you.

You have done a lot to help GCC, but if you don't learn to work better
with others your impact is going to be severely limited.  In particular,
your tone, including your use of profanity, is not acceptable behavior
on this list.
