I can't make requirements, i can only make suggestions (and before
someone whines, i'm willing to do the work to allow intrinsics to have
attributes not specifide in the headers).

If you want it user visible, than the documentation you put forth is,
IMHO, not acceptable.
It said something like "This is only intended for use by the compiler".
If that is really true, it shouldn't be user visible.
If it isn't, than the docs need to be clear and correct as to what the
attribute does.
