Maybe better restating, more clearly, my point: in *my* understanding,
maybe I'm wrong, the maintainers of the powerpc backend are happy with
the current implementation of the atomic builtins. Therefore, we can use
those builtins in the C++ runtime library as they are supposed to be
used, to encapsulate completely those functionalities. Similarly to
ia64: after all those builtins are modeled after the ia64 builtins.
If you believe we are not really there, I'm ready to revert the powerpc
bits. Just tell me, ok? And please accept my excuses if I'm mistaken in
the general picture of the situation.
