I'm currently waiting for confirmation of my copyright papers from
the FSF, which I mailed them last Saturday.  As soon as that comes
in, a few more I/O bugs should disappear in short order.

Your EOR patch is much awaited (this will clean at least 3 PRs). When I have time, I'll try to work on backspace problems, as well as other positioning issues (T and TL edit descriptors) which might be related.

When all that and namelist integration is done, I/O library will have greatly improved.
