Right.

That can be any more subtle interaction between the change you mention
and independent Makefile changes.

I'd suggest looking at how the gnattools rule in ada/Makefile is called 
from libada/Makefile and see what is going wrong/when.

I would also call make -C gcc cross-gnattools manually, which is
probably still working, and compare the two to find the error.
