[gcjx] Patch: FYI: steps toward gcjx compilation


I'm checking this in on the gcjx branch.

This fixes up the Make-lang.in and some of the source files so we now
get closer to compiling the tree back end of gcjx.  That is, the C++
code all compiles now; I just need to fix some of the C files that
still remain.
