That certainly seems to match what I've seen of other gcc maintainers when  
commenting on the Objective C implementation details. Remember the "why do  
two different Objective C types count as the same type" thread?

I suspect whoever first implemented Objective C (someone inside Next,  
before it was contributed due to FSF pressure?) probably could have  
seriously used peer review. But then, maybe that was before C++ existed,  
and nobody really had experience with classes in gcc, and what would and  
would not be sensible?
