The warning from tail declares that '-1' "will be removed in the future." It will be interesting to see what happens if that occurs. ;)

Have you gotten the cute "the 3 option is not necessary anymore, as it is the default" *error* when trying to do diff -u3p?
How useless of an error can you get? It couldn't just do my diff anyway? It has to just bomb out until i remove the 3 (which is necessary on some platforms, as well)
/me smacks the coreutils and diffutils maintainers around with a spoon.
