That's a red herring because on release branches --disable-werror is
the default.  (See my previous post.)

It may cause consternation in the mean time though for people who
don't know about that configure flag or forget to use it.  So perhaps
it was inappropriate to install it before wider testing and fixes.  On
reflection, perhaps it would have been appropriate to require clean
bootstraps on all the "primary" evaluation platforms first.

But here we are.  It would be nice if more people would help clean up
the warnings.  Some of you have, that's great and I appreciate it.
