Have you tried sending it as a patch, rather than as an html file?
The '+' at the beginning of each line keeps it from being recognized
as html.  I'd like to see the html tags, so please send it at least
to me for now, and then perhaps to gcc-patches after we've fixed up
formatting issues.

I've got more changes for the introduction but they aren't written
up yet.

I like Gerald's idea of having a "back ends" link from the home page
right after the "front ends" link.  That requires a patch to the file
style.mhtml.

I can remove the characteristics from simtest-howto.html and add a
link to this new document, and keep the test result links where they
are now.
