I didn't mean this particular bug. I am on the vacation till Friday,
but I am trying to solve the 3.3 issues today.

Quick searching reminded me that except for the rejected patch to work
around at i386 side, there is patch waiting for this particular bug at
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2003-05/msg02107.html
it has been in use at SuSE's Gcc for some time now and seems to be safe.
I verified that the patch still apply and fixes the testcase,
bootstrap/regress is in the progress.
