Where is this recommended?
Our documentation only says (doc/install.texi):
Second, you must have the testing tools installed. This includes
@uref{http://www.gnu.org/software/dejagnu/,,DejaGnu} 1.4.2 (or later),
Tcl, and Expect; the DejaGnu site has links to these.
To the best of my knowledge, the tarball on gcc.gnu.org was just a
workaround, when there was no official release suitable to our needs.
Having such an (updated) tarball is nice, but where possible, we really
should be able to work with official releases of third party software and
document what we really need.
