NIST provides a public registry of file name patterns at
<http://ats.nist.gov/cgi-bin/nics/domain_list_with_attributes.cgi?DomainNameList=Filename+patterns>.
Unfortunately, this registry is not well known and not often used. However,
I think the registry is a great idea, and that it ought to be used more often.
The NIST registry does not list .gch. If you do apply this patch,
it would be nice if you could please add an entry for "filename.gch"
to the NIST registry.
