It might be good to mention that adding --verbose --progress to the
command line will give a lot more feedback, including during that
initial silent phase. Also, adding --exclude '#cvs.*' to the
suggested command line would be a good idea - this makes it ignore
lock files, which otherwise can cause spurious errors.
I don't find the information given by --stats all that helpful, is
there a reason it's included?
