I don't know the answer to that question. My understanding is that
this advice applies to copyrighted items in general, but it may well
have been given regarding this particular testsuite, whose licensing
terms are very strict, to the point of having required our customer to
obtain a special authorization from the testsuite supplier to be able
to submit the testcases to Red Hat. So they obviously have no
authority to let us contribute the testcase, modified or not.
Even if a derived testcase would be small enough to be considered fair
use, I'd rather not take that risk.
