Hmm...  I've silently watched that thread, trying to find some
resemblance between the code I remember having merged from the C++
front-end and the code that is there right now, without much
success...  It appears that it was heavily tweaked since then, to the
point that I can no longer immediately make sense of it :-(

I'll try to look into the change trail and see where things got
broken, but I'm afraid I can't make any promises (other than to try
:-) at this point :-(
