Does this cause a real problem? I don't know exactly where this
procedure originates from, but we'd have to check with every
maintainer before changing the procedure - some maintainers may have
mail filters set-up to extract the robot messages automatically.
*If* it causes problems, I can offer the following alternatives:
- disable sending of the actual file to gcc-patches at all;
gcc maintainers would need to download the file from the URL in
the announcement,
- send announcements and file to a different address altogether, or
- implement a per-project option to attach the catalogs to the
announcement message. I'd avoid this effort if you can accept
one of the other two alternatives.
