Hmm...  That's pretty low, but bumping it up might cause you to run
into problems.  What if we just keep it as it is.  Yes, builds are
going to be slower, but at least they will work.  Unless libtool
really can't help exceeding the 255-bytes limit at some point.  Is
this the case?
